Andrew and I are currently on vacation for our spring break in Colorado! We traveled on Saturday and drove from Kansas City, MO to Estes Park, CO which took about nine and a half hours including stops for food and gas.
We spent two days in the Estes Park area and visited Rocky Mountain National Park. I will do a proper post on our trips there in the future once I am back and can edit all my pictures. All I can say is… wow. The views are absolutely breathtaking!
Yesterday and today we did some sight-seeing in Denver (detailed post coming soon, too!) and a few things around Denver. Tonight we are absolutely pooped – hiking up mountains is exhausting! Tomorrow morning we are driving down to Colorado Springs and we have a few different activities planned there!
We’ve had a few hiccups on the trip: my check engine light on my car came on our second day and we had to take it to the mechanic. Thankfully we only lost half a morning while the mechanic fixed my car and it wasn’t too expensive.
We are having a blast and I can’t wait to share some of the stuff we’ve done! Until then, you can follow me on Instagram and see some pretty awesome pictures (if I do say so myself) of our vacation!
I honestly can’t wait to see and read your guys’ trip. I hope (besides the hiccup) you guys are and have had fun on this trip. The furthest I have ever traveled to was San Francisco (in state), and the out of state was to Vegas (my mom’s wedding, and my roommate asked me to go). I don’t really get to travel as I’m always completely broke due to bills and such. Tristan actually got to visit Colorado and went to the cave of wonders because his grandpa used to live there. Sadly, I haven’t been anywhere but San Francisco and Vegas. I’m lame, I know. I honestly think you should check out The Cave Of Wonders if you guys have the time for it. I heard it’s really interesting.
California seems wonderful, so I’m a bit jelly that you guys just live there! I’d love to visit there some day because it seems like there is so much to do!
Do you know where the Cave of Wonders is located? I did a google search but could only find the Cave of Winds in Colorado Springs. Is that the same thing?
I’ve been following all of your beautiful pictures on instagram! It looks so amazing and scenic there. It looks like your having a great time =) Enjoy the rest of your fabulous vacation!
My Husband’s best friend lives in Colorado with his wife but we’ve never gone to visit. This makes me want to now, LOL!
